Megawatt Package

The premium Megawatt Package provides full access to AltEnergy’s massive and ever-growing project database. Our easy-to-use online map and database lists all utility-scale renewable energy projects across Australia and New Zealand. The search function enables subscribers to filter out Generating from In Development projects, and search by Project Name, Technology, Developer/Owner, Status (Proposed, Approved, FID/Under Construction, Commissioning/Grid Connection or Cancelled), State, Location, Off-grid/Behind-the-Meter, Capacity Range and Date Added. We track Wind (onshore and offshore), Solar PV, Battery, Hydro, Pumped Hydro, Solar Thermal, Bioenergy, Geothermal, Hybrid, Waste-to-Energy, Marine, and Green Hydrogen technologies.

The interactive map shows Generating projects in green and In Development (Proposed, Approved, FID/Under Construction or Commissioning/Grid Connection) projects in yellow. Transmission lines and indicated Renewable Energy Zones are included in Megawatt package maps.

Each project comes with a dedicated data sheet that lists all the important information about that project. When viewing on the map simply click on a project marker and a card will appear with key information and a link to view the full data sheet.

Datasheets contain each project’s main features such as Location, Capacity, Description, Developer/Owner, Expected Cost, Status, Major Contractors and Suppliers, Contacts, and a project timeline in the form of status updates allowing you to follow its progress from conception to construction to commissioning.

Renewables Radar

Megawatt subscribers also have access to a suite of powerful graphics and charts generated from AltEnergy’s Project Database.

Up-to-date information from our comprehensive database is generated “live” and presented in visually attractive graphics and charts. Examples include:

• - The total capacity of In Development and Generating projects by state
• - The total number of In Development and Generating projects by technology (eg. solar PV or wind)
• - EPC work in Australia rated by capacity
• - Pipeline of In Development projects rated by owner/developer
• - Capacity of Generating projects by owner
• - Capacity of major component supply contracts such as solar panels and wind turbines
• - Capacity of EPC/lead contractor assignments

This information allows the user to make meaningful and clear insights about the market. Generated files can be downloaded and saved as PDF files.

AltEnergy Archive Search

AltEnergy has been collecting detailed information about the renewable energy industry in Australia and New Zealand since 2017. Megawatt subscribers can access all this data, including all back copies of AltEnergy’s weekly Watts News report, official company and government news releases and presentations, proprietary information gained by AltEnergy, development and environmental approval reports, and town planning reports.

Enter a search term to see a list of results from where the source PDF file can be opened and downloaded. This powerful tool enables users to find all the background about a particular project as it developed, or search for a company or individual to track their recent history.

Project Market

The large-scale renewable energy industry in Australia has now reached a level of maturity which is leading to projects changing ownership more frequently, through all stages of development from concept to generating. AltEnergy’s Project Market module lists large-scale renewable energy projects that developers are interested in selling, seeking to buy, or looking for partners to co-develop.
